I was supposed to board a plane with my boyfriend—and by now, we should have been in sunny Greece, sipping on ouzo and eating dolmathes.
Instead, my boyfriend ghosted me at the airport. And my layover in Berlin turned into a semi-permanent situation after a snowstorm prevented us from taking off again.
On top of all of that, I got stuck next to him on the plane. Him being Eli. The most annoying boy from my past who used to surprise me with geckos and bugs and who put paint in my hair.
He’s a man now. And while he’s all smiles and jokes, I sense that deep down there might be something more. Something deeper. Darker.
Now, we’re stuck together in Berlin—in what will surely be the longest layover of my life.
What am I supposed to do when Eli starts doing the sweetest things ever? Like helping me navigate the German language. And showing an interest in all my quirkiest interest in movies and shows.
I can’t fall for Eli.
But I am.
And I quickly need to figure out if he’s still the mischievous boy from my past. Or if this can ever be a true thing.

I'm a Los Angeles based writer originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA.
I've been writing since first grade when my teacher handed me a journal and instructed me to write about my day. Since then, I've continued journalling, though I spend most of my time writing romance.
I predominantly focus on characters who suffer from mental illness, PTSD, loneliness, and other emotional issues that stem from trauma. I also focus on people who are considered "different." My goal is to shed light on the darker aspects of human connection. To show the way people who are outside of the box are sometimes treated. But above all else, I hope to highlight how precious it truly is to connect in a world sometimes void of love.
I published my debut romance novel in 2020.
I live with my husband and two Golden Retrievers, Daisy and Lily.
